⚡ Rainbow Bimbos In The Dark : Walk This Way ⚡

Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I am a functional-batshit-spirited individual with a low tolerance for BS.

I don’t care for socially accepted inept behaviours, be it in the workplace or socially.

You want to work like a slave until 10pm because it looks good in front of the guy who is paid 3 burgers, 10 donuts and 36 chai lattes more than you (that is office currency )? Good for you,  but I am out the door as soon as the Thirty is hitting the Five.

I am hitting the door like a lactose intolerant hurricane who has been eating yoghurt all day, and is power farting its way out (I am hoping that the metaphor is illustrating the immensity of the feeling).

Similarly, I haven’t got the time or patience for hanging out with cliquey crowds or individuals who pop in and out of your life when it suits them. I believe that friendship should be about supporting and being involved in someone else’s life continuously, not being a face in the human supermarket known as Facebook. Reminds me of that game Whack-A-Mole, wouldn’t it be awesome if you could have a virtual mallet?

Lately, I have had to deal with an individual like that. And what did I do? I Cillit Bang’ed them – and no, that isn’t some new perverted mating technique, I just kept my slate clean and moved on (for foreign readers : I repeat, this is innocent !). Walk This Way !!!!

I now have a smaller, more quality-packed circle of friends with whom unrestrained madness can happen, but also with whom strong support can be expected (-and this includes me perverting Dio’s Holy Diver into the ‘Panty Diver’ song which I will cover in another post ;-))

With this in mind, this Saturday, me and my fellow sister in blogging Sal decided to forfeit sticky, sweaty bars for a night spent outside by the river Thames. I love nothing more than being outdoors when the weather is so glorious!

We popped by the Golden Jubilee Bridge where Heavy Metal Pisa Tower impersonations took place….Yep.

I have no idea why I did this pose, I am assuming there was some buttcheek imbalance??

We spent most of the evening out, with the exception of one little stop in Villiers Bar in Embankment.
The cocktails may look glamorous but the primary reason for their existence is not : after drinking outside like Glam Hobos, our delicate urinary system decided that it was time to let loose.
So what did we do? Got more fruity liquids and used the loos TWICE !!! #BuyOneGetOnePee

After our little lady break, we decided to carry on our night walk by crossing the Golden Jubilee Bridge and heading out towards the South Bank.
And the most beautiful sight appeared :

The rainbow reflection on the water was stunning :

Obviously, such a colorful background HAD to give way to photographic silliness …. And the RAINBOW BIMBOS were born 🙂 (In the Dark)

What a lot of fun this was !! The pier was occupied in one end by a couple either watching the stars (or each other’s cosmic areas) but we still had plenty of space to breathe in the peace and just go bonkers on the pier. The energy in this place is wonderful, I cannot recommend it enough!

Following our little photoshoot and general chilling by the Oxo tower, we moved along the path and ended up in the Blackfriars area …. Another great viewpoint with romantic lighting and reflection on the water.

The Thames was so low, people were actually sat there, on its little beach area chilling and having a great time. Definitely something I want to do next time!

This is another view of St Paul, as we approached closer to it.

As we approached London Bridge, we passed The Globe, which was Shakespeare’s theather. I could have taken a pic of the theather but I was really drawn by the gates and the masks on it…

In the end, we arrived in London Bridge where this shiny sign appeared in front of us, representative of London’s royalness!
I do tend to moan a lot about London in my day to day life, but truth is I do absolutely love this city. And some of its inhabitants 😉

Until next time,
xoxo
